Function generator with adjustable frequency from 0 Hz to over 400 kHz, adjustable amplitude, DC offset, duty, and of course the function selection – square, triangle, and sine. Generator based on good old ICL8038 integrated chip generator that gives pretty good shaped signals as for amateur purposes.
This time, simple project that i made from simple need. Simple, cheap and functional regulated power supply 1,25V to 15V, two separately regulated positive lines and two negative. This power supply uses LM317 and LM337 integrated circuit stabilizers – or their stronger versions. Galvanically separated lines can be connected in various configurations.
Frequency meter with some of quite good performance, capable of measuring frequencies from 1Hz to 10MHz (9,999,999 Hz) with a resolution of 1 Hz over the entire range. Ideal for function generators or as a standalone meter. It is cheap and easy to make, with parts that can be bought anywhere, and with a small size that allow it to be mounted in the panel on any device.
This time i present three neat prototype boards for Xmega processors, in the Xmega A4 (44pin), A3 (64pin), and A1 (100pin) versions, compatible with all of the models of each family. The PCBs are designed to put with one or both sides in the breadboard, they are small and compact so they doesn’t occupy much space, with on board: PDI programming interface cnnector, USB connector (for devices in “U” version with support for high-speed USB), uSD socket, buttons, which are just a basic add-ons.
This welder, thanks to the limit switch, after lowering the upper electrode arm, automatically enables the welding process in a safe and proper way. First, it waits 1 second so that the user have time to clamp electrodes on welded material, and then turns on the weld current for time in the range of 0 – 4 seconds, which is set by the potentiometer. This allows both hands to be free, and there’s no need to use the foot switch.
I think i don’t need to convince anybody, how great device the logic analyzer is. This one leaves far behind every old-fashion LPT versions, as well as AVR with external RAM based ones. Depending on chosen PC application (the real analyzer part, actually), it can collect for an example, up to 24 millions of samples per second from 8 channels at the same time, and the buffer capacity is just our PC free RAM space…
USBTiny-MkII SLIM programmer (AVRISP-MKII clone) supports all Attiny, Atmega, and Xmega µcontrollers. It has three programming interfaces: ISP, PDI, and TPI. It works with AvrStudio or AvrDude.
